Living with Dignity Center (Adult Day Service) - Art Therapy for Neuropsychological Impairment
Our Vision

The Living with Dignity Center respects the dignity of each participant while honoring the life experiences, talents, and uniqueness of the individual.

Too often, persons with brain injuries or mental health disorders are treated as if they are no longer capable of creating, imagining, growing, changing, learning, communicating, or maintaining relationships. We know this isn’t true.

The staff at the Living with Dignity Center acknowledges the struggles of those coping with cognitive disorders and mental health issues and provides individually designed programming to improve the quality of life by:

Encouraging self-worth
Teaching self-respect
Stimulating the brain
Educating the mind
Nurturing the spirit
Learning new skills
Providing balance in daily life
Having fun
Celebrating diversity
Honoring each other's talents
Providing a sense of belonginess
Creating a safe place to thrive

The day program at the Living with Dignity Center is therapeutically designed with the goals of enabling participants to:

Maintain an independent life-style
Embrace one's strengths and limitations
Help the brain to heal
Create art
Acquire new skills
Learn to think differently
Find new forms of expression

A secondary goal of the Center is to provide support and respite for caregivers.
